This has been a busy spring. People are finding out that fly fishing in the rockies isn't just for summer. We've been putting numbers of fish in the net on the Gore, Eagle, and Colorado River. My one piece of advice ... use strong line. I'm using 0x to girdle bugs, 2x to a prince, and 4x for midge and beatis patterns. I use a Duncan Loop as to not take away any fly action. The water is dirty this time of year so save the 6x for the gin clear waters of august.
Suzie here couldn't hang on to her big rainbow. Most of my hard core clients, (Johnny bring a rod), dream of a fish like this... she thought it was funny. Those who want it the most, get it the least. Thats why I always say "just have fun"!
