Gone Fishin

Went down to the river with the wife yesterday. We did pretty good, two for four in about 30 minuets. The hardest part was getting to the water. Winter fishing in The Rockies.

Guide Season 2010

It has been a pretty long winter thus far, and we are only half way through. The skiing has been great, but fishing is always on my brain. Here is a short recap of my 2010 guiding season. It starts with the annual guide meeting...
That means we go fishing!

This is how we roll.

Gotta get pumped up.

The Eagle.

We stroked it of course.

You would think that with these guns I could keep us out of trouble. We flipped about a half mile past this bridge, one of the top 1,000 scariest moments of my life. At least the rest of our guide staff was there to pick up our stuff, and make fun of me.

Next was the Teva Games.

It was my first time competing, I placed 11 out of 80. Not to bad.

That's Frank Smethurst behind me. He's got some great fish porn. Check out "Running Down The Man"

Back to fishing. The salmon fly hatch on the Colorado.

The Yampa. The Stash.

Of course I always got time to take my girls fishing.

That's right poke him in the eyeball.

Alright this is what I get paid for.

Catching people fish.

Awesome isn't it.

Couple Sconi's

Yuck.

Time for a break. Yes that is our top guide on my daughters bouncy ball.

I guess there wasn't enough bouncy ball to go around!

More fishing. That's one of my best clients on the left, and I bring him to...

heaven.

Clients.

After that it's back to Wisconsin for pike,

more pike,

and power tools???

My Wife

Speaking of my wife, since I nearly broke her car yesterday, she's awesome. She can fish, she's pretty, and she lets me go fishing almost whenever I want to. I say almost whenever because I could fish every day. That makes me wonder what is the record for most consecutive days fished? That record is probably held by some jungle dude who has to fish every day just to eat and could care less about any records. I wonder what he uses for bait? Maybe he ties flies? Any way he is a lucky man cuz there is no snow in the jungle and he gets to fish every day. Anyway I am a lucky man too. I'm sure that I don't get to fish quite as much as jungle dude, but my wife is much prettier. Without further delay... My Wife      Just look at the fish in the last photo please.
